INTEGRATION SOA

Over 60% of all mergers and acquisitions fail, will yours?

Signing the deal is the easy part – making it really work is rarely done effectively. Disparate cultures and the difficulties of blending two companies into one are often cited as the major reason why a merger fails.

CA&A delivers its unique perspective, proven approaches, and pragmatic thinking to solve our client's implementation challenges. We work collaboratively, bringing innovative and proven implementation skills to help you make your business goals a reality. From due diligence through post-close, CA&A offers cost-effective solutions to help you successfully execute your merger or acquisition.

  • CA&A will do an unbiased assessment of how prepared you are for integration. The size and scope of the investigation will be confirmed with the senior management of the acquirer and will include: integration of systems, processes, policies and organization. We will ensure that the acquired company understands its strategic role in the integration process and will secure the commitment to integration by the acquired company's employees. CA&A will further promote management effectiveness in the light of leadership changes, and will work to create cultural harmony with the parent organization.
  • Soon after the acquisition is completed, we will conduct interviews with the acquired employees to quickly gather data in a confidential way that will be important to establishing priorities, understanding employees' fears and expectations, and to identify potential obstacles to effective integration. Key elements include: providing employees with a sense of security; sensing the readiness of the environment for integration; and confirming the reality of plans presented by the acquirer’s management team.
  • Using a variety of tools that span national borders as well as different company cultures, we provide a framework for understanding a multitude of cultural dimensions including: information flow, decision making, performance feedback, change in management styles, control systems, international customs and laws, strategic differentiators, and employee involvement, among others.
  • After a merger there is considerable pressure to integrate employees and systems quickly. In the rush to integrate it is very easy to open up security breaches. Valid ownership of intellectual property has become muddied with the increased access to source code. Complex licensing schemes and the availability of open source codes further complicate the issue. CA&A will work closely with IT and management to tighten up areas of vulnerability.

CA&A is a hand’s on consulting practice. We don’t write books about what you should do, or what we have done, we don’t waste your time by preparing elaborate PowerPoint presentations to dazzle you with seemingly useless graphics and charts, and we don’t try to impress you with who we know or what we have done in the past. We are willing to bet our money on your success. We will backend our fees on your success. No other firm is willing to do this. We only become successful by making you successful. If you want to pay more and get less, then you should hire the big boys, but if you want to work with a firm that is willing to bet on your success, than CA&A is the company you should hire.
